Sanny is an energetic and enthusiastic broadcaster, who brings professionalism and passion to every broadcast and project he works on. He is a regular reporter for Sky Sports News and BBC Sport TV and can be heard on the airwaves reporting for 5 Live Sport from sports grounds across the country.

From the radio studio, you may have heard his engaging style of presenting sport across BBC Radio 5Live, Radio 2, Radio 4, World Service and for BBC Newsbeat across Radio1, 1Xtra and Asian Network, as well as hosting ‘Squad Goals’. He is also a skilled audio and video producer and regularly writes for BBC Sport’s live text reporting.

Sanny changed career from teaching secondary school science in 2020 and has twice since been nominated at the SJA Awards, winning Silver as an On Air ‘One to Watch’ in 2022 and he was also nominated for ‘Sports Journalist of the Year’ at the Asian Media Awards.

Sanny was the only journalist in the country at every stage of the UK’s top men’s cycle race, the Tour of Britain. And as part of this, he decided to document his journey in his brand new podcast ‘On Yer Bike’, where he was joined by experts, newbies and riders themselves.

Sanny brings a work ethic born from a decade in the classroom and a love for sport from someone who has grown up on the terraces with a drive to keep building upon his successes so far.
