Darren enjoyed a highly positive and impactful spell at Sheffield Wednesday, where he guided the club to promotion from League One, building a strong culture and reconnecting the team with its supporters during his tenure.

He has also held managerial roles at West Bromwich Albion, Doncaster Rovers, and Huddersfield Town, continuing to demonstrate his leadership and commitment to developing competitive, resilient sides.

Most recently, Darren took charge of Port Vale, leading the club to promotion at the end of the 2024–25 season, further underlining his ability to deliver success and progression.

Alongside his work in Coaching and Management, Darren has also established himself in the media, featuring as a pundit on Sky Sports, where he offers expert insight and analysis on the modern game.
