Zharnel Hughes Breaks 200m Championship Record at UK Athletics Championships 2025

Refresh client Zharnel Hughes had an outstanding weekend at the 2025 UK Athletics Championships, taking first place in both the 100m and 200m events.

In the 200m, Hughes set a new championship record with a time of 19.90 seconds, adding to his 100m win and confirming his excellent form ahead of the international season.

These results secure his place in both events at the World Championships in Tokyo this September, where he commented that he feels he “can go a lot faster.”
