Zharnel Hughes wins World Championship 4x100m relay Bronze

Refresh client Zharnel Hughes, alongside Jona Efoloko. Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake and Reece Prescod, secured bronze in the 4x100m relay final at the World Athletics Championships, which have been taking place in Oregon, USA.

Fending off a strong Jamaican quartet, Zharnel ran a strong second leg of the race before passing the baton onto Nethaneel and Reece, finishing behind the Canada and the United States in a season’s best time of 37.83 seconds.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the race, Zharnel said, “I remember speaking to Jona before the race started and I said Jona, just keep coming, as long as I get the baton I’m going to do damage.”
