Triple Medal Success for Zharnel Hughes at European Championships 2026

Refresh Sports client Zharnel Hughes enjoyed a hugely successful European Championships, returning from Birmingham with two gold medals and a silver.

Zharnel claimed silver in the men’s 200m, adding another major individual medal to his collection with a strong performance on the European stage.

His success continued in the relays, where he played his part in two gold-medal-winning British teams. Zharnel helped Great Britain to victory in both the men’s 4x100m relay and the mixed 4x100m relay, securing two European titles across the Championships.

The three-medal haul underlined Zharnel’s quality across both individual and team events, as well as his continued importance to Britain’s sprint programme on the international stage.

With two European titles and a 200m silver added to an already impressive collection of major championship medals, Birmingham 2026 marks another memorable chapter in Zharnel’s career.
